Hi! I'm Tracy Smith. Welcome to the "about us" page. This page is basically useless; however, for some reason we small-business owners feel compelled to include one on all of our websites. It's where I get to brag about myself and my company. So...if you are interested, here follows a brief history of Tracy Smith and KimballGrafX, Inc.

I grew up drawing pictures, mostly of horses. I would doodle anywhere I could find a blank square inch of paper. So naturally I gravitated toward a career in art. Armed with my bachelor of fine arts degree (with an emphasis in graphic design, I might add), I started pounding the pavement looking for my dream job as a graphic designer.

Reality quickly set in when I realized that about 500 other people, many with actual job experience, were also applying for the same entry-level graphics jobs that I was. What? You mean a college degree doesn't guarantee you a job? I found this out the hard way. OK, so on to plan B...I decided that I would just make my own job — KimballGrafX was born!

You are probably curious about why the company is named KimballGrafX when my last name is Smith. There is a perfectly good explanation for this... Kimball is my maiden name and SmithGrafX just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Over the years we have added website development and multimedia to complement our graphic design services. In mid 2002, we moved into some beautiful new office space in the Denver West Office Park and added some great talent to our team of designers. As you can see from our portfolio page, we love what we do and it shows in our work!
